The Beat are a band founded in Birmingham, England, in 1978 and was one the band of the 2tone/ska movement at the end of the seventies. Their first single "Tears of a Clown" was issued by 2tone records in 1979 and then 3 album was released during the 80s with Go Feet/Sire label. In the 21st century part of the original line-up refermed for gigs and start with new audio releases, the last one "Public Confidential" with DMF Records label.
